Gude Cause Banner Making
No demonstration could ever be complete without an array of colourful banners and placards, and the re-enactment of the women’s suffrage procession will be no exception.
If you are planning on joining the march and live in Edinburgh why not come to our banner making group, the first meeting will be on the 20th May at The Forest Cafe @7.30pm.
As well as making individual banners, pennants and placards the group plan to make a replica of the original Edinburgh suffragette banner (see pic above).
A ‘How To’ faq sheet has been added below however if you or your group, whether in Edinburgh or further afield, need some tips on how to go about designing and making your own banner please come along to one of the group sessions or email Marylou on marylouanderson@hotmail.co.uk.
If you can’t come along to the first meeting but are interested in coming along and sharing ideas and skills or organising a group in your local area then do get in touch. Dates of subsequent meetings will be posted here and on the Facebook page.
